Courses
The Institute offers full-time and part-time courses, with the Foundation Course in Christian Life and Ministry being offered part-time at satellite branches to people who cannot study full-time but wish to gain some theological training. The curricula for the certificate, diploma and bachelor programmes are divided into four main areas of study or disciplines:
- Biblical Studies
- Theological Studies
- Pastoral Studies
- Christian Heritage Studies
COURSES OFFERED:
FOUNDATION COURSE IN CHRISTIAN LIFE AND MINISTRY
One year part-time.
(not accredited with SAQA)
CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
One year full-time/two years part-time.
(accredited and registered as a higher education programme)
DIPLOMA IN THEOLOGY (DipTh)
Two years full-time.
(accredited and registered as a higher education programme)
BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY (BTh)
Four years full-time.
(Made up of the following programmes: Certificate in Christian Ministry or equivalent, the Diploma in Theology or equivalent, and the third year of the University of Fort Hare's Bachelor of Theology Degree; UFH awards the BThs for these four years of study)
