Unity In Christians & Believers, How?

One of the main objects of PE Church-net is to achieve Unity love and harmony amongst the believers. God willing we can do this, but only by the power of His Spirit and guidance WILL WE KNOW HOW. A lot of people will say there is no division. We all praise the same God. We just do it differently. We are all different parts of the same body. Or we are at different stages of our growth in the Lord. I wish this was so but sadly it is not. Only a brief look at other religions tells us differently.
We need to look, not criticize, and admit how big and serious this division is to us as Christians. We need to agree on what and who causes the division and why and how it happens. Most important, how and what are we going to do about it. ESPECIALLY IF WE WANT THE WORLD TO FOLLOW AND BELIEVE IN OUR GOD, OR CHRIST'S GOSPEL.
There are approximately 1,400 different groups calling themselves Christians, nearly all claiming to be the only ones who have got it right. They all read out the same Bibles, say they worship God and claim their interpretation is right, This is where the problem lies.
The most very recent one that I came across the other day is the Klu Klux Klan in America who call themselves I think, "The Aryan Christian Believers". They believe that THEY, God's people, must be a pure bred race. The old German Swastika is their emblem. No doubt every follower, all 35,000, believes in their leader and cause, that it is right. The FBI and CIA have dubbed them Americas most serious and explosive problem today. We will not even talk about the division caused by religious wars.
Recently I ran a site for 2 years on Excites Religious Message Boards, headed as a forum for discussion. "CHRISTIANS, WHY ARE THEY SO DIVIDED AND SPLIT UP"? The general opinion from the literally hundreds of Postings was, that different interpretations of the scriptures caused the splits. Dictators who would not condone any opposition to their way of doing or understanding things was the reason. Because of the lack of democracy or the right to be heard or listened to, Inspired men have broken away and started their own church. Again and Again and Again. Men followed men instead of Christ. This must stop and be reversed.
Each Church or sect has its own set of beliefs, code, doctrine, rigorous rules or regulations of what you must believe or must not believe. All made up by man, man made rules. Some even have their own Bibles in addition to the universal Old and New Testaments. This is what Religion is, and makes them this religion, or that religion.
If we took away all these statements of Faith and replaced them with an exact scripture, word for word from the Bible, you would have no Religion, we would be halfway to our goal of Unity. All that would be left of religion would be yours or my interpretation of that scripture of faith. Then if you give me the right and I give you that same right to interpret and share that scripture as we each see it, then there will be no Religion. It is that Simple.
Unity and freedom of speech to share my belief and interpretations and the option to change my mind if I want to, is the opposite of Religion, where I have no option but to believe all your interpretations and your beliefs or move on.
Jesus said in Math 12v25 " That every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand". In 1 Cor 12 v 27 it says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." v 22: those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable v 23: and the parts that we think are less honourable we treat with special honour v 24: God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honour to the parts that lacked it, v25: so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. (UNITY) as Jesus said we need to become servants to each other, and as Paul said in 1Cor 3 v 7 " Let God give the growth it is for us only to plant the seed. V26 IF ONE PART SUFFERS, EVERY PART SUFFERS WITH IT.
There are many other things that I know divide us. What is important is what do you think will bind us together in Love and Unity ?

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
It was such a blessing for me to have an access to your web site. I read quite a few paragraphs and felt blessed. I would like to say keep up the good work. It is true that people who call themselves christians are divided. But I don't think it is true that CHRISTIANS are divided. The verses you quoted from Mt 12:25 and 1Cor 12:27 are true. Because of those verses it is not possible for christians to be divided. I believe that christians are members of the same body. As you have indicated, there is a religion out of christian believers which is called christianity. The people who call themselves christian because they believe in this type of religion do not belong the the body of Christ. Those who belong to the body are those who have a personal relationship with Christ. These people cannot be divided. The former group can be divided. Unfortunately the way christians are viewed is based on the former, which is not the true reflection of the bible. Actually the word christians came from the bible due to a group of people who led a Christ-like life, not a people who had a religious attitude which is positive to Christ.
Churches or denominations have complicated the matter more. Sometimes we interchangably use christians to churches, e.g. those christians and these christians, rather than that denomination or this denomination. Due to some attitudes that make one denomination to think it's better than another denomination, there is a perceived division amongst christians. Those who believe the bible as it is will not think this way. The bible teaches that I should think of other people to be better than me. It is only true christians who can have this perspective in life. Then, if I have such a perspective, there can be no division in the body of Christ. A possibility may arise when a christian has backsliden. His/her perspectives may change, but a backsliden person no longer belongs to the body. So, he/she cannot be viewed as a christian.
If we have interests of uniting christians (people who believe in a religious sect that acknowledge Christ as a Son of God) we will never be able. Remember these people are under a kingdom, so they do whatever their king wants them to. The bible teaches us two kings, the king of this world and the KING OF KINGS. Nobody can be in neither of the two. Everybody is under a kingdom. If one does not belong to the kingdom of Christ it is obvious where does he/she belong. If we are to unite such people we should know that we are invading another kingdom. There are strategies of invading that kingdom, one of them is Evangelism. If we want to unite them to the body of Christ, we have no option but to point them to the objective of the Cross. But if we want to unite people who belong to the body of Christ, it is not difficult: We should call them back to the bible, back to their Lord.
I wish to say, your website is amazing.
God bless you

A FURTHER POST FOR "UNITY IN CHRISTIANS & BELIEVERS - HOW?"
Some ways to create Unity and freedom of the Spirit at home cells and churches.
Now as a leader, if you say to your group " Next week we are going to talk about the first three chapters of 1Corinthians, we would like to know what these scriptures mean to each of you. You will be amazed at what the Lord reveals to each one. Things that you yourself never saw. Equally, aspects that more than half could see but the others could not. It becomes clear that this is the different parts of the body of Christ set free and in full working order through the individual members of the body of Christ.
The leader of the group needs to appoint a new chairman each week to make sure everyone including himself has a turn to talk and share if they want to." At the end of the meeting each person has the right to believe or follow, whose ever interpretation they want to, as the Holy Spirit works in and through them. In this way religion is replaced by Gods Spirit. Spiritual Unity in its purest sense.
As Paul said in 1Cor 3 v 6 - I planted the seed, Apollos waters it, but God made it grow 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow.
There needs to be Open prayer on a Sunday after or during the singing and also after the sermon. Witnessing and sharing what God has done or said in your life also releases Gods Spirit. A time needs to be opened for any part of the body of Christ who wants to share. This will give freedom of speech and democracy and recognition of the body of Christ as He expresses himself through the members of his body.
1Cor14 v 26 says - When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of this must be done for the strengthening of the Church.
In this way there can be no dictators ruling the roost and everyone only listening to one mans opinion or interpretation of how he sees it week in and week out. Yes, we must have our teachers, preachers, evangelists, pastors, But the other parts of the body need freedom and recognition as important and vitally necessary.
God apportions wisdom and knowledge to each one of us as we grow in the body of Christ through the different gifts of the Holy Spirit, as Christ apportions them to us. We all have different functions and parts to play to make up the whole body of Christ. Then only Christ can rule and truly live and move and have his very life in and through us all. Are we not all equal parts, who share the same Spirit within us? Are we not the Temple of Gods Holy Spirit? Is this not Spiritual Unity? What do you think? Or why do you think the Christian religion is so Divided?
I believe P. E. Church-net statement of Faith goes a long way to bring about Unity as does Romans 15 v 5&7 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 So that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
God Bless you all, who pass this way, with His Spirit of Unity tolerance, patience and understanding.
