AUSTRALIAN COUPLE COMES TO PORT ELIZABETH SEEKING HEALING FROM SANGOMA -FIND JESUS INSTEAD

Did you hear about the Australian couple?

Well Rick Koppenol and his lady friend came to SA from Brisbane in Australia. They have 3 children of which Angel Rose, the baby has a tumor on the brain which causes her head to swell, made her unconscious etc. They were told by someone in Brisbane that they need to see a sangoma in the Eastern Cape. One of our member, Des, read this in the newspaper (it was front page news!) had such a burden for this couple found them, ministered to them and led them to the Lord. They got married and baptised after our Sunday morning meeting. The baby is recovering and the couple went back to Australia, to a church Pastor Jimmy ministered in some years ago. Amazing story! The wedding and baptism was again on the front pages of the local newspapers.

The following is a summary of a report in the Eastcape Weekend, 4 February 2001

ANGEL ROSE IMPROVING - FOLKS TO WED

"Cancer stricken baby Angel Rose continues to improve following treatment with a herbal remedy - African bush willow.

The little family arrived from Brisbane, Australia to search for a cure for their baby who has a brain tumour.

Western and traditional Aboriginal medicine had failed to heal an embryonal tumour in Angel Rose's brain.

"Now we know we were not only meant to come to Port Elizabeth for Angel Rose to be healed but also for us to become Christians and to get married."

The young couple, who are going to be married in the Word of Faith church by its minister Jimmy Crompton, said they had not thought about wedding rings or what they would wear. "We'll probably get married in jeans and t-shirts," Ms Horne joked. "It is the vows which are important. Everything else is meaningless."

Docters gave Angel Rose six weeks to live but she is in her seventh week now, said Ms Horne."
