THE PRAYER OF JABEZ WORKS !
Jacqui Brill, Director and volunteer lay counsellor of the New Life Crisis Pregnancy Centre in Uitenhage, has accepted the position of Curriculum Coordinator for Focus on the Family, an international [over 30 countries] organisation – the South African office is in Kwa-Zulu Natal. She will initially work from her home in Uitenhage, and will still be involved in New Life for the foreseeable future. She has resigned as secretary at St Katharine’s Church to accept this position.
The Focus on the Family Guiding Principles include: upholding Christian values [i.e. universal morals and ethics / consequences of actions]; acknowledging that life is a precious gift from conception to natural death; creating and sustaining healthy marriages; raising children correctly.
The Prayer of Jabez works – she will cover the whole Eastern Cape as the contact person for Focus on the Family! Her main activity will be the presenting of the "No Apologies – the Truth About Life, Love and Sex" teen-positive, character-building abstinence-until-marriage curriculum to mainly Grade 9 students – and parents – as she teaches that love is worth the wait. This programme has had tremendous impact internationally and has a message every family should hear, and will bring a message of hope to our nation in crisis.
