RADIO KINGFISHER THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION - REPORT BACK
Dear fellow Workers
It is with great joy that I am able to report that the Thanksgiving Celebration was a huge success. According to the newspaper reports there were an estimated crowd of twenty thousand people at the event, making it the largest Christian gathering in Port Elizabeth ever. We give all glory and honour to Jesus.
We also made history in being the first Christian Community Broadcaster to successfully have challenged and won a legal battle opposing a decision by the Broadcasting Authority to close down the Radio Station in August 2002. On Sunday the 1st December 2002 the very same individuals who opposed us handed over a 4-year licence to RKF. God is a good God.
The uncertainty of whether we were going to continue to broadcast or not hung over our heads like a sword. It also had a major impact on our finances. With the 4 year license secured we know that things will go so much better.
Please pray with us for wisdom to be a voice in Port Elizabeth and the Nation.
