ICCC NEWSLETTER - APRIL 2004

I greet you especially in the name of Jesus our Lord and Saviour. It is some time since I wrote to you in depth about the things that God is doing with us but I have felt personally and, we as a board have felt, that it is time to communicate on a very deep level what it is that God is saying to us and where He is leading us.
At our board meeting in February, God really impressed on us the reality that ICCC as a ministry / organism was founded on the prophetic through J. Gunnar Olson and that we, ourselves, are heirs of that rich inheritance as we become associated with ICCC. But, how to appropriate the prophetic gifting, was for us a most important aspect in looking to the future.
We met this last weekend, in Kloof in KZN and really got before the Lord to seek what that it was He was saying to us as a body. The Lord impressed on us very strongly that we should contact the Transformation Movement and offer to serve in whatever way we could possibly serve. So we phoned Graham Power who was in a meeting and excused himself from the meeting in order to speak to me for some many minutes. What has emerged is that the Transformation Day is probably the most significant spiritual day that has ever taken place in the history of Africa. Let me give you some facts:
There will be 980 stadiums which will be gathering people together to pray between 3:00 and 3:10 South African time.
58 countries, including all the nations in Africa and the 5 Indian Ocean Islands, will participate.
In South Africa alone there will be 270 stadiums where gatherings will take place. All of these stadiums will be linked together in one common purpose and that is to come before the Father, in the name of Jesus, and cry out for the Continent of Africa. It will be the biggest prayer meeting ever held in the history of the world.
We are taught so clearly in the scriptures that “our fight is not with flesh and blood but with powers and principalities”. We hear the scripture quoted so often but do we really understand the full meaning and impact of what that is. As Africa bows its knee before the Father, there is no doubt that we will unleash from the pit of hell every demon and anti-Christ that can possibly be thrown at the people of Africa. And I say this not to create fear in any sense, but to give you encouragement, to remind each one of us who are born again Spirit-filled believers, that it is the very Spirit that raised Christ from the dead that lives within us and, if we believe that, we will then know how much power will be released from those 980 stadiums as the continent bows its knee towards the Father.
On the 24th of June 2000, the ICCC International General Meeting took place in Randburg in South Africa. At that meeting the founder of the ICCC, J. Gunnar Olson, was prompted by the Holy Spirit to read a decree over Africa, which we believe is as relevant today as it has ever been. I have attached the decree to this letter in a format that I hope you could duplicate and attach and send to as many people as you know in Africa to encourage them to start praying now, by declaring this decree over Africa, in order for us to see a mighty release by the Holy Spirit, in preparation for our prayer day on the 2nd of May 2004.
The business community who operates in the market place of Africa and, more specifically in South Africa, have an amazing opportunity to display and demonstrate the power of God that dwells within us. By linking hands with all who will participate in those stadiums, bearing in mind that most of the people who will attend are normal business people and it is only when they are impacted with the power that they carry in the market place, that we are going to see the ground prepared for the return of our Lord.
And so, we as Africans have the most exciting opportunity to participate on that day as, initially, a time of being before the Lord as South Africa and, as the continent of Africa, and thereafter by taking what God is doing in our continent into the market place, in the most powerful and wonderful way.
To each one of you, I pray that you will seek the Lord for yourself as to what it is he is saying to you during this very special time in our nation. I pray that, as you move through the time of the celebration of the Messiah’s crucifixion and resurrection, that you will again be encouraged and excited by the wonderful Lord that we serve.
