PLANTING OF A CHURCH IN BLUE HORIZON BAY
We were without a church in Blue Horizon Bay until July the 2nd this year. Many of us had to travel very far on a Sunday to get to church. The Lord had laid it on the mind of Stephen Fouche, reverend of the Thornhill Holy Trinity United Church, to get involved in Blue Horizon Bay. We formed a small team and decided to plant a church here.We had our first service on the 2nd of July and our first communion service on the 11th of July. After starting off with 6 people plus Stephen, his wife Elsa and their three children, we have seen new faces every Sunday so far and today, 1 August 2004, we were 22 people in church!! We are so excited about it as we know that, although we are small in numbers, we are many in Christ.
We are here to stay and we require your prayers to strengthen and support us in this great endeavour. Please pray that the Lord will bless the work that we are doing here and that the Blue Horizon Bay Community Church will grow from strength to strength as we need something like this badly to strengthen and heal relationships in our community.
