NEW FELLOWSHIP IN REDHOUSE
Exciting things are happening in Redhouse. First the Friday morning mens' meeting, and now a vibrant Sunday evening service.
For a number of years now the cell group from BWB United Church that meets in Redhouse have considered the possibility of holding a Sunday evening service in the village. It was felt that an easy going worship service was needed that would pull villagers of various denominations together and would assist in the overall spiritual growth of the village. About two months ago while studying Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Life" the group experienced God saying to them "You have been talking long enough, Now is the time for action!" Permission and their blessing was gained from both their home Minister and the Anglican Minister responsible for Redhouse for the service to take place, with both men agreeing to bring the message for the first two meetings.
What followed was far beyond anyone's expectations with 40 worshippers attending the first service and the numbers increasing steadily over the next two meetings. Most significantly though was the undoubted presence of the Holy Spirit which indicated that the Lord was pleased and giving His support to the venture.
The service is held at St Nicholas Church every Sunday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and it is hoped that refreshments and fellowship will be served in the village hall on the last Sunday of each month.
