Church on the Crest of a New Wave
Prophetic Word ?
A new wave is coming. I feel it in every fibre of my being. It’s a day on which our generation has been waiting for many years.
A shift is taking place in the heavenlies. The Lord is moving His troops into position, and is imparting faith, a sense of excited expectancy. Can you feel it? If not yet, don’t worry, you soon will. No believer is exempt from the love and purposes of God.
Despondent? You’ve heard it all before? Don’t give up! Your patience and persistence will be justified. Disappointments of the past will seem as nothing, especially for those who have longed to see true revival without flesh or hype.
Those who with sadness have lost vision and sense of direction will ride on the crest of this new wave, but scoffers will be amazed. If you are one of these scoffers, turn around – quickly now! Only the pure in heart will see God.
PETER’S SHADOWI believe the Lord is saying we should earnestly seek and expect a season likened to the days of “Peter’s shadow” (Acts 5). This analogy, I feel, speaks of two things:
First, it is not us who will accomplish anything -- but only the Presence of the Lord in us. As Moses said: " What else will distinguish (us) from all the other people on the face of the earth?" (Exodus 33:15/16). The answer is of course, nothing!
Second, so strong will this anointing be (‘acceleration’ is the word) that we may not realise all that God is doing, hidden within the shadows.
Thus there will be no place for pride, no place for “control”, and all the Glory will go to Him. Truly the hidden treasures in secret places will be revealed. They will not be what we (I) presumed they were!
Positioning is vital, both in our heart (sense of expectancy/faith) and in our physical ministry (service). We must prepare ourselves. I have two scriptures in mind. Although both are correctional, they also show the powerful consequences of obedience.
“God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked”. (Ps 82:1-5)
“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you." (Isa 35)
WHEN? If you have longed for revival, the answer is “THEN”...See how Isaiah continues: “THEN will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. THEN will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. THEN Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. THEN the burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.”
COMPASSION, NOT CHARISMATAI believe the Lord is calling us to redirect our focus from those who have, to those who have not. The key word I believe is “Compassion”. The Greek word is ‘Splagchnon’. It refers to a yearning / aching within the bowls and is something which truly reflects God’s heart for fallen humanity. (see Mark 1:41).
Compassion is born within every human because we are made in God’s image; however only the saved and anointed may be channels of such divine grace. All else is flesh, and thus powerless. Much could be said about this, but the bottom line is that divine Compassion, not flesh, not even Charismata, is the trigger to releasing true power (Heb: koach, Gk: dunamis).
As the Lord has said, we must “Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice” (Matt 12:7).
