YOUTH CHALLENGED
TO HAVE POSITIVE DREAMS

In a powerful opening key-note address Dr David Malapo told of how at the age of 13 he was in prison where he had a life-changing experience when he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was speaking at the Decade of Evangelism Mission Week, "Why didn't you tell me?" held at St. Stephen's, New Brighton, at the beginning of September. His subject was 'Jesus our hope' and he said "I am a living example of a person whose past has been cancelled and whose life has been changed. I learnt to have positive dreams, and Jesus helped me to be successful." And successful he is, having a Doctorate in Science, Chairman of Promise Keepers in South Africa and being also founder and Director of the "I Can Foundation" which encourages township youth to take responsibility for their lives and not to waste their youth. He has reached into the lives of thousands of young people and is now a role model to many of them.
