#01. The anti-Christ - Is this being fulfilled in our age ? (posted 23/02/99)
A 1947 prophecy from Bishop Fulton Sheen:
"Our Lord tells us that he [the anti-Christ]
will be so much like Himself, that he would deceive even the
elect--and certainly no devil we have ever seen in picture books
could deceive even the elect. How will he come in this new age to win
followers to his religion? He will come disguised as the Great
Humanitarian; he will talk peace. prosperity and plenty, not as means
to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves.
He will write books on the new idea of God to suit the way people live; induce faith in astrology so as to make not the will. but the stars, responsible for sins; he will explain guilt away psychologically as repressed sex, make men shrink in shame if their fellow men say they are not broad-minded and liberal; he will identify tolerance with indifference to right and wrong, truth and error; he will spread the lie that men will never be better until they make society better and thus have selfishness to provide fuel for the next revolution; he will foster science but only to have armament makers use one marvel of science to destroy another; he will foster more divorces under the disguise that another partner is 'vital'; he will invoke religion to destroy religion; he will even speak of Christ and say that he was the greatest man who ever lived; his mission, he will say, will be to liberate men from the servitude's of superstition and Fascism, which he will never define.
In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one; he will not believe in God. Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect.
He will set up a counter-church which will be the ape of the Church because he, the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content....In desperate need for God, he will induce modem man in his loneliness and frustration to hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give man enlargement of purpose, without any need of personal amendment and without admission of personal guilt...." The devil was never asleep. In Jesus days He said that the evil one is already in the world the Anti-Christ is already hear. Math 24 v 4 & v 24 -- Mark 13v22 -- 1John2v18 --John 1v7. What needs to be recognized is that the devil has been on our case for a long time 2,000 years and has had great success with the Christian's. Splitting them into 1,400 different religions all with their own rules and regulations doctrine's and creeds and sets of beliefs, even though they read out the same bible. No other religion or belief is so divided because they are not a threat to the devil and his plan.Paul in his day was also onto the Devils game and spent a lot of time exposing his work. He said, night and day I have not stopped warning you about the false prophets. They rise up from among you and go out from you. 2Corin 11v12 to 15 says it all. THEY DEFINITELY ARE MORE AMONG US NOW THAN EVER BEFORE.
What are they doing to us is the Question? How are they achieving it.? What are we doing that is so wrong? Why can we not see them?. WHY ARE WE SO DIVIDED ? ? Jesus said we will all be led astray even the saints if that were possible. We will be deceived by a false teaching, mostly because signs and wonders follow it. THE FIRST STEP IS TO, :
(1) ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE ARE DIVIDED.
(2) THAT WE ARE NOT UNITED.
(3) THE HARDEST ONE OF ALL, THAT WE ARE NOT SERVING THE RIGHT CONCEPT OF GOD AS LAID DOWN IN THE SCRIPTURES. If we were we would be totally united in love long ago.SO WHERE ARE WE GOING WRONG?? & WHAT MUST WE DO TO PUT IT RIGHT ?? ROMANS 15 V 5TO 7. SAYS IT ALL :-- May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the GOD AND FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring PRAISE TO GOD. {this we are not doing } Music and worship was the Devils specialty, Who better qualified than him to fool us in this, his area of expertise. What needs to be considered is, Are we worshiping GOD THE FATHER of Jesus as well as Jesus? Or do we only worship Jesus? The Devil may have achieved many other victories among us, but this is the greatest of all his achievements as it is the first and most important commandment of all. He even tried to get Jesus to worship him in the desert, but Jesus said it is written etc; I believe that when we once again start to worship the God and Father of Jesus as well as Jesus. He God will pour out his love and Unity on us like a roaring river from his throne. Did not Jesus say to the Lady at the well that the Father is looking for spiritual worshipers to worship him in Spirit and in Truth. ??? In John17 v 25 to 26. Jesus said that the world does not Know the Father. That he will continue to reveal the Father and make Him known so that the Fathers Love can be in us all. Now if we don't Know the Father his love can not be in us as it was in Jesus. 1 John 4 v 7 to 19 also really lays this out in great detail.
ENUF FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR NOW. God bless all with his Holy Spirit of revelation and wisdom of His will for us in Christ HIS SON. God Bless you all with His Spirit that was in Jesus.
