ALPHA FOLLOW-UP ARRIVES ON VIDEO

The demand for a follow-up to the Alpha Course has existed even before Alpha started its worldwide spread. An awareness that something was in fact in the pipeline has been around almost as long. Speculations have abounded, particularly since it became known that HTB was considering more that one possibility.

Firstly, at the International Alpha Advisors' Conference last year, it was announced that A LIFE WORTH LIVING was being filmed for video presentation and would become available internationally as the official follow-on course to Alpha.

The original LIFE WORTH LIVING talks given by Nicky Gumbel at HTB are already well known. The paperback containing the talks, published in 1994, quickly became an international bestseller. Subsequently, an audio set recorded live by Nicky proved popular.worldwide for use with small groups.

Now the filming of Nicky Gumbel delivering the talks has opened the way for a whole new development. The set of three videos containing the nine talks is accompanied by a small-group leader's manual and an updated participant's handbook. These, together with Nick's book(which incorporates a study-guide) and the existing set of audio tapes, provide a comprehensive range of resources for a fully-fledged Alpha follow-on course.

The focus of the course is on how to live the Christian life positively, practically and joyfully," says Sandy Millar, HTB's Vicar. Based on Paul's letter to the church at Phillipi, the nine talks are aimed specifically at those who are starting out in the Christian life.

The professionally produced video set, which would normally retail for R500,00 is currently available at a special introductory price of R450,00 from Alpha stockists country-wide. Prices of the other resources are as follows:
