I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ,INVITATION AND INTRODUCTION:
It is with great excitement that we introduce THE VESSEL to you in the Eastern Cape. From the September 2000 issue there will be a specific space allocated to the Eastern Cape. We kindly request you to contemplate in prayer if you as an individual, church or business would consider becoming involved in the distribution of THE VESSEL. If you are positive over this publication kindly contact our Eastern Cape Office.HOW AND BY WHOM IS THE VESSEL DISTRIBUTED ? - EPH 6:15
Christian Businesses, individuals and churches are currently the largest distributors of THE VESSEL, through sponsorship of a certain amount of newspapers, or purchasing advertisement space in the newspaper, and in doing so these individuals or businesses assist in sowing THE VESSEL to members, clients, friends and family. THE VESSEL is already being distributed nationwide from shops, petrol stations, churches, schools, Christian Organisations, camps and individual distributors and so finds it's way to the 'saved' and the 'unsaved'.HOW MANY NEWSPAPERS ARE DISTRIBUTED ?
This paper is distributed in a most strange and unique manner, but how else if we want to reach the 'unsaved' who don't go to church or purchase Christian reading material. We therefore request Christians to purchase or sponsor the paper in bulk (large amounts) and distribute it to others, in a manner of sowing in a ministry. Currently 30 000 newspapers are printed and distributed nationwide. According to the current demand & interest and the fact that a co-ordinator has been appointed in the Eastern Cape, the printing will soon have to be increased drastically.The percentage of distribution of The Vessel Newspaper is as follows :
± 40% in Gauteng and Northwest provinces;
± 20% in Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces;
± 20% on the Garden Route and the rest of the Cape province;
± 20% in the Freestate and Vaal Triangle.THE VISION FOR THE VESSEL
The God-inspired vision to distribute a Christian newspaper, was born in April to September 1998 in Potgietersrus.THE MISSION
The Mission of THE VESSEL is to circulate only good news over church boundaries, from the city to the country and the country to the city; to publish church news, happenings, seminars, introduction of various ministries, teaching and especially testimonies of salvation, healing, financial victory etc and to encourage others caught in the same desperate or difficult situations. Emphasis is however placed on the introduction of various ministries.A MOUTHPIECE FOR ALL CHURCHES
THE VESSEL is not affiliated to any specific church or denomination, but would like to be a mouthpiece for all denominations and in so doing spread the Gospel and the Good News as well as introducing everyone (all) to the body of Christ as a whole (fully). Community service with Christian values will also be introduced.THE PRINTED GOSPEL TO THE HOMES OF THE EASTERN CAPE
It is the vision of the Eastern Cape to spread the Gospel through taking THE VESSEL to homes in the Eastern Cape. In towns where THE VESSEL is already known, the community, over church boundaries, (from a wide diversity of church denominations), not only enjoys but welcomes the fellowship with each other in a newspaper with a message of peace, reconciliation (redemption) and love with Jesus Christ as the corner stone. A newspaper packed with (full of) encouragement and edification for the broken-hearted. This fulfills our calling to contribute to the unification of the Body of Christ & our commission to proclaim the Gospel.
