A CHALLENGE AND TESTIMONY FROM THE CHURCH IN HUMANSDORP

We are a group of 7 people (2 men and 5 ladies) who get up everyday morning at 4h30 to meet at our local church, St. Mary's Anglican Church, Humansdorp. We started this routine in the year 2000 when we joined in the 40-day prayer cycle for Africa. This lent we have decided to do the same for 40 days in order to pray for our church and our town. We pray for each area in the town and for unity and peace in our town. The tremendous growth in our own spiritual life is wonderful and the changes we can see in our church and the community can only take place when God changes things. We pray for revival in our town and that the strongholds of the evil one will be broken down and that our town will be saved.

We can only encourage and challenge the children of God in other towns to start praying for their towns and cities and start believing that God will honour the promises in His word.

A similar group is been praying for the past 2 years for their town Hankey, about 20 km from us and we keep in contact and join up a least once a term with us to have fellowship and to pray together.
